I totally get your thoughts on Vancouver seeming aloof. I lived there from early 2000 the the end of 2004 and even after all that time found it hard to break into the indie social circle. It\'s fucking weird that way. Toronto gets a bad rap. I have several friends that have moved there and they seem to like it a lot. Have you ever been to Calgary?
