  • Odd that this episode should mention both loneliness and fasting, both of which I'm doing now. I work alone, from home, where I also live alone. It gets weird, definitely. I often feel a sort of "professional loneliness" that is arguably worse than the regular sort. I usually make arrangements with friends 1 or 2 nights a week, but it's nice to have someone to chat to at home (or at work) in those in-between moments. I definitely understand both you and Johnathan Mann on this aspect. I've never done proper fasting for multiple days, but I will sometimes go a day without eating solid food, mostly just to level out my system and help me "reset" my digestions. After last weekend, I think I broke my body, and I've been eating only one meal for the last few days. It's an odd system, and one that I've never done before. Let's see if I can keep it up for a while and what the results are. So far, a lot fewer dishes in the sink, and I consumer much fewer groceries!
